Hypertension

Did you wake up with more fatigue than usual, have headaches, or see that your vision has worsened? These may be symptoms of Hypertension, often referred to as high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a common medical ailment that, if not controlled, can turn fatal in many cases. Sehha Healing Center uses the principles of Islam to treat Hypertension through dietary changes and lifestyle modification effectively.

Understanding Hypertension

Hypertension is a condition whereby the blood pressure on the arteries’ walls is too high most of the time. This condition may give no sign for years and continue to degrade your body slowly. If no treatment is given, it can cause dangerous complications such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney disorders.

Recognizing the Signs of Hypertension

You may have high blood pressure if you feel like you are developing any of these.

  • Getting tired often or finding yourself low on energy
  • Experiencing frequent headaches
  • Noticing blurring of vision and inability to see clearly
  • Feeling tightness in the chest or shortness of breath
  • Pounding sensations in the chest or ears

What Causes Hypertension?

Hypertension can be caused by a variety of factors, including:

Genetics: An important risk factor for high blood pressure is family history.

Diet: Stress, high salt consumption, alcoholism, and utilizing unhealthy foods.

Lack of Physical Activity: Lack of exercise contributes to increased weight and poor heart health.

Stress: Chronic Stress can result in what is known as temporary elevated blood pressure.

Medical Conditions: Hypertension may arise from diseases like diabetes and kidney disease.

Age: Hypertension is more likely to be found in the elderly.

Obesity: Obesity increases pressure on your heart and blood vessels because they have to work harder to pump blood throughout the body.
