Dyslipidemia

Have you ever wondered why your cholesterol levels are higher or lower than usual, or why your doctor stresses the importance of lipid profiles? These could be signs of Dyslipidemia, a condition characterized by abnormal lipid levels in the blood. At Sehha Healing Center, we take a holistic approach to managing Dyslipidemia, blending the best of conventional medicine with the wisdom of the Quran and Sunnah, and integrating essential nutritional and lifestyle changes. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and support needed to restore balance and health to your life.

Dyslipidemia

What is Dyslipidemia

Dyslipidemia is the presence of elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the bloodstream, which can lead to cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke. It typically involves high levels of LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol) and low levels of HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol), along with increased triglycerides.

How do you know if you have Dyslipidemia?

Dyslipidemia often presents without specific symptoms, and lipid profile monitoring is crucial for early diagnosis and management. Some signs can develop later, for instance, during heart disease.

What causes Dyslipidemia

The leading risk factors for Dyslipidemia include genetics, a diet high in saturated fats and cholesterol, physical inactivity, obesity, smoking, and certain diseases such as diabetes and hypothyroidism. These factors interfere with lipid metabolism, resulting in elevated or reduced blood lipid levels and a higher risk of cardiovascular risks.

Sehha's Comprehensive Approach to Managing Dyslipidemia

At Sehha Healing Center, we adopt a holistic approach to managing Dyslipidemia, optimizing lipid profiles through diet and lifestyle modifications, and preventing cardiovascular disease based on Islamic principles for optimal heart health.

  • Optimization of Lipid Profiles Through Diet and Lifestyle:

First and foremost, the basic screening is done to determine lipid levels and the presence of the risk factors. This is the foundation for developing individualized care plans concentrating on dietary changes concerning Sunnah to support heart-healthy meals and appropriate lipid profiles.

  • Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease:

We advocate for regular physical activity, stress management techniques, and adequate sleep as essential components of managing Dyslipidemia and preventing cardiovascular disease. Our team provides practical strategies to incorporate these habits into daily life effectively.

  • Ongoing Support and Monitoring:

Continued support and regular follow-ups ensure sustained progress in optimizing lipid profiles and reducing cardiovascular risk. We are committed to empowering individuals to take proactive steps towards better heart health.
